TOMMY APOSTOLOS FUND

On Saturday, May 15th, the Tommy Apostolos Fund will host it’s 20th Annual Benefit Dinner at the Roseville Sports Center. One hundred percent (100%) of the money raised goes directly to children who are selected from underprivileged or low income families within the local community. The children are given an open credit (usually $100/each) to purchase clothing at Kohls Department Store. The shopping sprees are held twice annually: once for “Back to School” in August and again at Christmas.
This year, in addition to the familiar invocation by Dn. Joseph, a great barbecue dinner prepared by Texas West, and music and dancing by “the Republicrats” (featuring Nick Avdis of the Annunciation Church), our Parish will be a “Gold Sponsor” also providing Greek pastries and Greek coffee! Tickets are available by calling 782.8079.
The Race for the Cure

Instructions to join our team, St. Anna, for the Komen Sacramento Race for the Cure. (3.1 mile walk/run) on Saturday, May 8. This is a multiple step process:
1. Go to : http://www.komensacramento.org
2. Click on “Race for the Cure” at the top right hand corner.
3. At the left margin: under Action: click on “Register for Race & Fundraising”
4. Read waiver to participate in the event. If you agree, click “agree”
5. Click on “Join a Team” and scroll down to “Join an existing team” and select “St. Anna”
Our team goal is to have at least the minimum of a 20 person team participate. The deadline to form our team is this Friday, April 23 by midnight. Note: there is an option for additional fundraising for this event; however, the donation to join the team is $35 for Adult, $15 for children 6-12 years old.
