About
Saint Anna Preschool and Daycare believes that each child possesses his/her own unique talents, character, and developmental ability. The Christian atmosphere of our school, on our magnificent campus, overlooking Miner’s Ravine, is conducive to allowing children to feel happy and free, yet safe and secure. Our curriculum promotes an individual’s cognitive, social, emotional, physical and creative development, while allowing the child to learn and grow at his/her own pace.

Our staff embraces this philosophy by providing customized attention for your child and creates activities which enhance their development. Scheduling is kept at a minimum, but there is an established plan. Children learn that there are rules for their safety as well as for others. They are encouraged to express themselves through a variety of media, because the use of art forms is vital to the development of young children. In this freedom, they find satisfaction and positive self worth.
Ultimately, Saint Anna Preschool and Daycare offers a warm, safe, and Christian environment where children learn by doing.

Miss Lily Gallagher
Miss Lily has been in the preschool primary elementary education field for over 30 years, since she graduated Southern Connecticut State College in 1977. Her roots are in Connecticut where she was born and raised by immigrant Russian parents. Russian was her first language growing up and she loves the chance to speak it whenever she can. Coming from first generation European parents she has been inspired by their example of hard work and education. She graduated Southern Connecticut State College in 1977 with a BA in Elementary Education and soon relocated to California where she began teaching Kindergarten and pursuing her Masters degree in Early Childhood Education. Soon afterwards, she became a director of a preschool and then launched her own preschool in Elk Grove in 1980 which included a small private school(K through 3rd). She sold her first preschool in 1988 to spend some quality time with her children, who were preschool age at the time. This did not last long, in 1989 she purchased her own preschool, Penryn Oaks in Loomis. She lives in Loomis and continues to mange Penryn Oaks along with Saint Anna Preschool.
Miss Lily is a dedicated member of Saint Anna Greek Orthodox church and was asked to start a preschool for the parish in 2002. It has been a challenge and learning experience to mange two schools, however, both school are thriving, which she attributes to her excellent staff. The hugs and cheers she receives when coming to her preschools keeps her motivated and happy to do what she does best each day.
Miss Lily’s grown children live in the bay area and are both are happily married. Her youngest son Bobby is 19 and attends UTI in Sacramento. You may have seen him from time to time shoveling sand or bark for the preschool. He is truly a big help when it comes to physical tasks.
